Where urban excitement meets country charm. Durham Region is located on land that has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amoung the Mississauga Peoples, and is the traditional and treaty territory of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation and all territories covered under the Williams Treaties.
Located just east of the City of Toronto, Durham Region is comprised of the City of Pickering, Town of Ajax, Town of Whitby, City of Oshawa and Municipality of Clarington along the shores of Lake Ontario, as well as the three northern municipalities of Durham Region: the townships of Brock, Scugog and Uxbridge.
